Donations
As a non-profit charitable trust, it probably goes without saying that we depend on donations from the public. Every dime that we receive is reported to the State and accounted for by all legal standards. We cannot make any profit. Specifically the monies received take care of our operational expenses and the burials-at-sea for our veterans.
On a regular basis, I receive ashes from Arlington to take care of a homeless Veteran or a Veteran whose family has little in the way of funds. We have been told from Washington that we are the only non-profit company in the United States that offers these services for our Veterans. That is something to be very proud of.
We have also learned that in this industry all of our competitors charge for many items that we believe should be free to you. We not only want to provide the very best in burial services, but to keep your expenses as low as possible. Therefore, we give you free food, drinks, flowers, music, video capability, and all the services necessary and required by the state. We do not charge you for taxes or harbor fees as most companies do. We also do not charge more for a holiday or weekend or tell you when we do the services. We believe in doing for you what is convenient for you:Â We go out every day of the week, any time of day.
Everything we do is for you. The ceremony is designed for what you want. The day of week and time of day is selected by you for what is most convenient for you, your family, and your guests. For example, you may be planning around a memorial service or need to plan around guests are arriving from out of state or from long distances. It is your day and we will do anything to make it an amazingly wonderful experience.

For the State of California, the Secretary of State and Attorney General, Department of Justice, and Department of Consumer Affairs have awarded a non-profit, public benefit, charitable trust designation to The Last Watch Foundation to provide funeral services to help the Military and their families. We are the only organization in the United States to be awarded this honor. The State has also given us license to perform the scattering of ashes at sea. If a donation to The Last Watch is ever received, those funds are deposited directly into The Last Watch Foundation.
